About

I believe in people. All of it follows from that.

I grew up in Bolton, a Northern mill town in the United Kingdom where people are tough because they have to be and ambitious because they believe. That foundation is in everything I do.

At 23 I left for what was supposed to be a three-week holiday in Australia. Six months later I made the kind of decision that takes courage. I left my family, my friends, and everything I had known to that point to build a life on the other side of the world.

Over the next decade, I returned to the UK, I studied, I built a career and I had children. I worked across three organisations and multiple disciplines, and I learned, over time, what it costs a person to spend their days in a workplace that is quietly damaging them. I was made redundant twice. The second time was what started my interest in workplaces that damage people, and the work I now do with organisations.

I have been back in Australia since 2013. I rebuilt. I became clear on what I would and would not stand for. Integrity is non-negotiable for me. When I was asked to compromise on it, I could not. It cost me. I would do it again.

Everything I have lived has taught me something, and everything I have lived has refused to diminish me. I am not starting over. I am starting from everything I know. That is what The Clayton Vesta Minerva Collective is built from; every chapter, every choice, every refusal to be made less than I am.

Today I am building two things. Thriving Humans is the professional practice. It works with organisations becoming places people can do their best work, and with individuals navigating challenges in their workplace.

Finding Your Thing is the community for women ready for what comes next. Both are built on the same belief. Both matter. And both exist because I built what I needed and could not find.
